FRENCH LITERACY /CREATIVE EXPRESSION

Outcomes:
-begins to make connections among sounds, letters, words, picture and meaning
-participates in listening, reading and viewing experiences, using oral, print and other media texts from a variety of cultural traditions and genres, such as picture books, fairy tales, rhymes, stories, songs, illustrations and video programs
-explores and experiments with patterns, movement, rhythm, sound and music
Directions:
-Listen to the song "Ah les crocodiles"
-Draw a picture of what is going on in the song

CREATIVE EXPRESSION / PHYSICAL SKILLS AND WELL-BEING

Outcomes:
-begins to connect own forms of expression to forms of expression in the world around
-becomes aware of how artists use elements to express ideas
Materials:
-sketch book or paper
-pencil
-coloured pencils or crayons
-fine black marker
Directions:
-take a walk outside somewhere where there are flowers
-sit in front of the flowers and sketch what you see, adding the colours
-return home and outline your flowers here and there with black lines.
