LITERACY / CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Outcomes:
-becomes aware of how artists and musicians use such elements as rhythm, melody, line, colour and pattern to express ideas
-begins to connect own forms of expression to forms of expression in the world around
Materials:
-a firm piece of paper or cardboard to serve as your base
-old magazines or books that your adult has said that it is ok to rip up.
-glue
-pencil
Directions:
-draw an outline of a simple tree
-look at the example in the photo and using ripped up coloured paper create a tree scene. I find that it is easiest if you rip up your colours and put them in colour coded piles before you begin to glue them down.
NUMERACY
Outcomes:
-says the number sequence 1-10
-relates a numeral, 1-10 to its respective quantity
Directions:
-look around your house and find 1 of something
-look around your house and find 2 of something( tip for adult- your legs)
-look around your house and find 3 of something
-look around your house and find 4 of something(tip for adult-chair legs)
-see how high you can go
